IBLOCK covers the area code of 517 south central michigan. The area of this particular location when looked at on the map resembles the capital letter "I", hence the nickname IBLOCK.

Within the borders of IBLOCK lies the capital city of LANSING, which of course is the home of the state government, making IBLOCK area code 517 the most important of all blocks in the state.

 

Even though that tidbit is a fun fact.  IBLOCK is more than the capital city.
